Sport at Bath

Sports news from Team Bath, including the performances of athletes and teams based in our Sports Training Village, as well as sports science related research from our Department for Health.


World Champion Matt Weston recorded a second victory of 2025-26 and Tabby Stoecker was runner-up in the women's race - both train at the ¸£Àû¼§.

The Team Bath Breakthrough Programme student-athlete, who studies Sports Performance, became Azzuri international #752 against Chile.

Cam Brooker won three titles and fellow sporting scholars Jack Skerry and Matthew Ward topped the podium too as Bath won five gold, six silver and three bronze.

The Bath-based GBR1 crews, led by pilot Brad Hall, are looking to build on three hugely-successful years during a 2025-26 season culminating at Milano-Cortina.

The 17-strong squad includes 12 players who helped the Blue & Gold finish runners-up in 2025 - tickets for the eight home matches are on sale now.

Nearly 9,000 spectators enjoyed the ¸£Àû¼§'s annual student-rugby showpiece match, which was sponsored by Colour Studios.
